Gdansk

It is one of the most beautiful, european cities. Famous ancient Amber Road pointed from Gdansk to the Mediterranean Sea. In the Golden Age the city became famous as the most important port on Baltic Sea and its trade has spread all over the world due to contacts with the Netherlands. Multiculturalism of the city was perpetuated in the architecture of the most important buildings. In the past, Gdansk has been declared as a free city twice. Here World War II began. In the monumental shipyard Lech Walesa worked for Solidarity (Polish Trade Union). Gdansk was the hometown of philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, place of work and great discoveries of Daniel Fahrenheit and Johannes Hevelius. Also J.R.R. Tolkien’s family springs from here. Today Gdansk is one of the oldest cities of Poland and its history spread over a thousand years.

Sopot

It is an alluring example of a young holiday spot town with beautifully preserved monuments of the late 19th and early 20th century architecture. Its healthy climate is influenced by the location between the sea and the forests covering a large part of the city. Also, many sport and cultural events attract guests from all over the world to the town. Sopot consists also of the charming cafés and restaurants serving the cuisine from different parts of the world. The majority of the places is concentrated along the famous Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street (Heroes of Monte Cassino Street). And in the less frequented streets we can meet beautiful renovated villas which the city is so rich in.


Gdynia

At the beginning of the 20th century Gdynia was a small fishermen’s village, slowly turning into popular summer resort. After World War I it has been chosen as a perfect location for the main sea port of Poland. The city was growing as fast as Chicago or Los Angeles. Number of people living in Gdynia increased several dozen times in less than twenty years. Today city of Gdynia, its port and sea are one. Each year this irrestible combination atrracts thousands of tourists looking for summer chillout, sports and live music.

Hel

The town where Poland begins, located on the top of headland of the peninsula. Kashubian fishermen have lived here for centuries. The only place in Poland with beaches stretching southwards. In the interwar period, it became a naval base and a maritime resort of the Polish elite.During World War II it was the longest defended area of Poland, traces of those events have survived to this day. In the season, tourists increase the number of its inhabitants several times, willingly practicing water sports.
